REPORTING TO : INSTRUMENTS FOREMAN
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To effectively and efficiently manage the instrumentation equipment maintenance mill wide, maximising equipment availability through the application of preventative maintenance, World Class Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques and ensuring compliance with OHS Act and any other internal or external policies/procedures/regulations as required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring that instrumentation maintenance is carried out as allocated.
- Reducing machine downtime where possible through effective preventative maintenance, including corrective, scheduled, and statutory maintenance.
- Fault finding on instrumentation equipment failures.
- Identifying flaws and shortcomings in the control processes.
- Assist with projects as needed.
- Follow and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
- Ensure good housekeeping, health and safety.
- Work on shuts in own section, and other sections when required.
- Perform stand-by and callout duties as required.
- Exercises strict project budget, quality and progress control ensuring that customer requirements are met every time.
- Ensures that all required documentation such as drawings, manuals and software are supplied and updated
- Assists with problem solving
- Maintains equipment according to regulations and best practices

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- N4 plus Instrumentation trade qualification
- Two (2) years’ experience post qualification in a pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
- ABB DCS experience is advantageous
