REPORTING TO : MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To facilitate improved plant availability through effective planning and scheduling of maintenance work and ensure maintenance systems integrity through business compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans maintenance, plant shuts, projects and organises resources and materials.
- Analyses planned maintenance for optimum inspection, adding planned maintenance if necessary.
- Analyses plant availability and performance data.
- Supports TPM process
- Controls and closes gaps generated by MDT meetings.
- Generates bar charts for projects on the machine and updates weekly.
- Generates, updates, and maintains work instructions, procedures and other related engineering documents.
- Monitors progress against plan and co-ordinate different departments and contractors during shuts.
- Keeps track of work in progress, generates weekly / daily task list for artisans according to priorities and time available.
- Keeps and updates plant modification requests ensuring all tasks are completed.
- Ensures plant diagrams and flow diagrams updated and available.
- Updates and maintains safety records / inspection / tests and ensure that they are of a NOSA 5 Star standard

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Rigger/Boilermaker or Millwright) or five(5) years’ experience in a maintenance planner role.
- Three (3) years’ experience as a maintenance planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy
